Kelly Franklin is the Associate Director of the Mosaic Storytelling Lab at Duquesne University and a Doctoral Candidate at Texas Christian University. Her research interests include Black Feminist Theory and Pedagogy, Rhetoric and Composition, Anti-Racist Pedagogy, Cultural Studies, Black language, and Black literacies. Kelly has published in academic journals including Writers: Craft & Context, Peitho, English Teaching: Practice & Critique, and The Sandbox, with more work forthcoming. Beyond her scholarship, Kelly remains passionate about empowering the next generation of young scholars from communities of color. Always a storyteller, Kelly’s work honors the people who make her who she is—her children, husband, family, and Romeo, her day-one dog who refuses to leave her side.
